Ota doyen lions club a leading club in district 404B-1
Nigeria of the Lions Club International installs a new a president and other officers to steer the affairs of
the club for the 2016/2017 Lions year. The new president, Lion Dimeji Kehinde Fehintola was presented as
the centennial president of the club at a ceremony that was well attended by
members of lions club across the state and many other dignitaries from far and
near. Top among the them is the deputy governor of Oyo State, His Excellence Otunba
Moses Alake Adeyemo JP who was the chairman of the occasion, Hon. Wale Okediran
(a fomer member of the house of representative) was the guest speakere at the
occasion, the executive chairman of Ado –odo/Ota local Government Hon.
(Prince)Bashiru Oladele Adeniji was also present at occasion. Members of the
lions club were led by no other than the District Governor of the club Lion
(TPL) Waheed Kadiri supported by his cabinet members
The newly installed president Lion Dimeji fehintola seizes
the opportunity of the presentation to mobilize and raise fund for the club to
enable them carry on with the various humanitarian projects embarked upon among
which is the construction of a block of 10-room toilet at St James Anglican
Primary School Ipate Oyinbo Ota. He opined in speech that ’’ the main essence
of Lionism is service to the community’’. He therefore appeals to the guest
present and members of lions club to donate generously towards the course of
the club which is to serve humanity.
