Ota has grown and is still growing at a fast pace beyond what it used to be, It is undoubtedly the commercial and industrial hub of Ogun State. Its proximity to Lagos also makes it a destination of choice to people from all works of life. Ota has however in past years lagged behind in entertainment and fashion but that is now a thing of the past as the community has played host to several fashion and entertainment shows and pageantries.
The fashion industry has not only grown in recent times but has equally empowered many key players economically; Fashion Designers, Make Up Artistes, Fabric Sellers, Accessories Vendor, Models and even Photographers to mention a few.
It is against this backdrop that Novent Concept, a Media & Entertainment outfit in Sango Ota is putting up a first of its kind Classic Fashion Show here in Ota.
At a brief chat with the Organizers of the Fashion Show led by Asiwaju Abayomi Oke we gathered that about a hundred Models showed up for the Casting and thirty have been selected so far. 90% of these Models he stated are residents of Ota. "Most of these models would be going on the Runway for the first time owing to this opportunity created by Novent Concepts" he said

Make-up artists, Photographers, Set Designers & Decorators and other partners are sourced from Ota. This is obviously a pointer to the fact that the city of Ota is ripe for this initiative but only waiting for an initiator".

Ota APC Not In Disarray-Party Elder

Following the crossover of some politicians in Ado-odo/Ota Local Government from APC to PDP, there have been unconfirmed reports that the structure of the ruling party in the commercial nerve of the Gateway State may have collapsed.

An elder of the party in Ota told reporters that the party in his local government is not in disarray but “very much intact and solid on ground”.

The Ota APC chieftain who craved for anonymity insisted that Ado-Odo/Ota APC is as firm as when it was rooted in the local government. He further expressed that “the few ones who ran away to the opposition party are few elements in the party that do not have flair to serve the people but are in politics for their personal gains.”

“If you look at the list of these people we are talking about, there is no single founding member of our great party in their midst.

“No serious minded person will drop a progressive party like APC for a party that is substitutable with corruption and that shows the breed of politicians that opted out of our progressive moving train.” He said.

The grass root politician also added that “the All Peoples Congress, Ado-odo/Ota family is still very much united, as you can see, most of our leaders  from the state to the grassroots level are still in the party with one objective; to selflessly serve the people, usher in physical and human developments to our communities.

“I can tell you that all of us in Ado-odo/Ota APC are committed to APC project and as well very much loyal to our governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun and his vision for Ogun State.

Findings however reveal that the likes of Alhaji Muse Lamidi a former chairman of the local government, APC notable stalwarts Alhaji Suraj Olusesi, Chief Jide Ojuko, Comrade Rotimi Rahman among others are still very much in the party.
